Description of Services:Mangrove operates a waste processing facility associated with the Beijing Cement Plant, and uses the cement kiln operation for waste treatment. The facility receives a wide variety of liquid and solid industrial and hazardous wastes from throughout the Beijing area for disposal in the cement kiln. Some wastes have beneficial value as alternative fuels or alternative raw materials for cement production, whereas other wastes are simply destroyed in the kiln process. All wastes are subject to preprocessing prior to placement in the kiln to ensure proper management in the kiln.

By permit, the facility is allowed to accept hazardous and industrial wastes in 28 different national waste categories, including waste acids, organic solvents, mineral oil, emulsions, paint wastes, waste resins, and other inorganic and organic wastes. Non-hazardous wastes accepted include any wastes with a heat value of more than 6000 calories per kilogram (such as paper and wood). The facility also receives contraband for disposal in the kiln, including counterfeit money, consumer goods, and illicit drugs.
