| Description of Services: | The facility has several on-site hazardous waste treatment and disposal operations. In the two rotary kilns, Indaver provides for the thermal treatment of hazardous industrial waste with energy recovery. The static kiln provides a solution for the treatment of liquid chlorine-containing waste materials. Hydrochloric acid is a by-product of the static kiln operation, and depending on the quality, it is conveyed to third parties or used as a raw material for the neutralization process in the physical-chemical unit. Solvents are recovered through distillation in a thin film evaporator. The recovered solvents are conveyed to third parties for reuse. The physical-chemical Unit 1 provides for the neutralization, oxidation, reduction, immobilization, and emulsion separation of inorganic liquid waste materials. Solid inorganic waste is solidified and stabilized in the physical-chemical Unit 2. There is also a wastewater treatment plant. The residues that result from the treatment processes are solidified sludge, solid waste and the end products of the immobilization and neutralization processes. These are deposited in the on-site class 1 landfill. |
