| Description of Services: | The facility accepts both hazardous and nonhazardous industrial wastes, as well as medical wastes primarily for treatment in its two pyrolysis incineration units. Some liquid hazardous wastes are also treated in the on-site wastewater treatment operation, which includes both physical/chemical treatment for inorganic wastewaters and sequencing batch reactor (activated sludge) treatment for organic wastewaters. The facility also removes miscellaneous recyclables (including cardboard, steel, plastic, rubber, glass, etc.) from the bulk non-hazardous industrial wastes it receives and segregates and consolidates these materials using a baler for subsequent storage, off-site transfer and recycling. |
