Description of Services:The Poty facility consists of two cement kilns, Kiln 1 which is coke fueled and Kiln 2 which is permitted to burn hazardous waste. The primary fuel is coke, with a maximum of 30% waste fuel allowed to be used. Typical waste fuel streams include tires, wastewater treatment plant sludge, potliner, rubber, activated carbon, and spent potliner. Presently only solid material is burned in the kilns; however, plans are in place to begin burning liquid wastes in the near future.
