| Description of Services: | Hazardous wastes currently handled by Yuxin include medical wastes, pesticide residues, solvent, paint residues, sludge, and alkali wastes. The site collects and disposes of solid, semi-solid and liquid wastes. The medical wastes are usually transferred by garbage truck that travels via a specific route. Incoming wastes in containers or drums are transferred by truck and then stored in the waste warehouse or the covered temporary storage area. Liquid wastes are generally mixed with solid waste such as activated carbon before incineration, and semi-solid wastes are usually fed into the incinerator by spray gun. The site incinerates all incoming wastes, including containers. The main incineration process for hazardous waste summarized as follows: first, wastes are dumped into two portable waste feeding pools/bins which can be lifted automatically by conveyor chain and the waste is dumped into the incinerator. The mixed materials remain in the primary burning chamber and materials not destroyed in the primary chamber are transferred into the secondary burning chamber. |
