This facility, located in the Cartago Industrial Park Zeta Free Zone on a company-owned parcel, performs chemical blending, contract plating, and electrowinning operations. Processes in this facility are an automated zinc plating line (certified by General Motors), an aluminum anodizing line, and an associated electrowinning (electrodeposition) line for copper, nickel, and gold recovery from solutions. The facility also has an indoor water treatment system, with above ground tanks for pH adjustment and precipitation, and a filter press for sludge dewatering. The other two facilities, located nearby in Cartago in leased buildings, perform solvent recovery, e-waste disassembly for recycling, and fluorescent tube crushing (Facility #2, known as the Lima de Cartago facility), and e-waste disassembly and plastic grinding (Facility #3, known as the Tejar del Guarco facility). |
