| Description of Services: |  The facility a lightweight aggregate plant burning hazardous and non-hazardous liquid waste derived fuel (WDF) and used oil/off-spec oil in the two kilns at the Cohoes location. WDF and used oil are stored and blended (separately) in an onsite permitted fuels facility. More than 90% of the fuel used to heat the kilns is WDF. 2024 Update: The POC also reported business was down in 2023, and the facility experienced a fire in January 2024 that idled one of the two kilns onsite. It is unclear at this point what drove the decision to idle the plant, and how waste derived fuels remaining onsite will be managed while the facility is down. |
